The king studio was very comfortable with a lounge area and a kitchen, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of food options.

The staff was very helpful when we had a problem with the room. They were also very accommodating about allowing us to take a continental breakfast instead of the full buffet
The rooms are a bit shabby and need updating. I dint like bedspread and blankets that others have used and would prefer a sheet duvet comforter which hotels in lesser category now have. They are going for old world tattered elegance and need to update things more without diminishing the charm(new pipes in bathroomsetc)

The garden area was lovely and it was the pictures of the garden that encouraged us to stay, and it was very pleasant to be able to dine outside in the garden.
Very unusually the toilet was seperate from the bathroom and accessed via the lounge of the suite, however there was no sink in the toilet despite ample space which was very inconvenient ant unhygenic.

Sitting out in the lovely garden at breakfast, dinner, or just with a glass of wine, must be the very best feature of this quiet family hotel. Well situated for all the Eastern chateaux. Friendly helpful staff, most of whom speak some English. A very pleasant pool, and lots of space to relax.
It didn't worry us, but if you are a very light sleeper the church clock next door might worry you.

1- very uncomfortable in term of noise (you can count any guests using the stairs and any door that closes) 2- pictures in the web site are old and overselling the place. The current status of the structure is much less appealing (pool, garden, interiors, quality anc choices for breakfast) 3- they refused to book a table at the restaurant, even if there were few people there
